RICHMOND defender Graham Polak has made another positive step in his recovery from a serious head injury after being moved into rehabilitative care.

Polak, 24, was shifted from the Alfred Hospital – where he was admitted after being hit by a tram on Saturday night – to the Epworth Rehabilitation Centre on Friday morning.

According to a statement released by the club, there has been no major change to Polak's condition but the move to Epworth is considered a positive milestone in his recovery from brain bruising.

The club is unsure how long Polak will spend at the centre.

He is reported to be in a "satisfactory" condition and able to recognise people, although he remains disoriented and restricted to limited visitors.
