CTV > Brad Scott speaks with CTV after day one of the AFL Exchange Period

Day one of the AFL Exchange Period has officially ended with 16 AFL clubs participating in potential trade discussions at Telstra Dome.

A team from Collingwood travelled across the city and was involved with the five hour process.

Collingwood’s assistant coach, Brad Scott, was a member of the entourage who represented Collingwood on the day.

“Every club is there obviously, we have all our own rooms in the corporate seats at the Telstra Dome,” Scott told Collingwoodfc.com.au.

“At 15 minute intervals someone rings a bell and we all go off and talk trades.”

“We talk to each other for about 15 minutes and a fair bit gets said.”

Scott pointed out that most clubs will be keeping their picks, waiting for the draft, because of the concessions that will be made to the two new teams in the future drafts.

“There is a fair consensus that every team values their draft picks very highly this year.

“We will probably see, on the surface of today, a lot less getting done probably than more.”
