SYDNEY Swans member Julie Rust is this week’s Member of the Week.

sydneyswans.com.au got the inside story on why Julie loves being a Swans member and who she thinks will be the 2010 Club Champion.

Here's what Julie had to say...

When did you first join the Sydney Swans?
1999.

What do you like most about being a member?
The feeling of being part of a tribe that understands each other - the love of the game, the passion, the joy of winning and the empathy in defeat. Also, pride in the fact that we are members of the most professional and visionary AFL Club in Australia.

What is your all-time favourite Swans moment?
It would have to be the 2005 Grand Final. We managed to get tickets, and although I couldn’t eat, I was shaking from half time on and had my head buried under a friend’s armpit for the last two minutes. It was the best day of my life!

What has been your favourite moment in 2010?
There have been many, but it would have to be Brett Kirk slotting that goal from 40 metres out in the last quarter in his last game at the SCG.

Who do you think will be the 2010 Club Champion?
Kieren Jack.

Who is your favourite Swans player?
Ryan O’Keefe - a bit to do with anatomy there too!

Where do you sit at the SCG/ANZ Stadium? Why do you love these seats?
Bradman stand at the SCG and Section 106 at ANZ Stadium. Both are great areas with good views and in amongst lots of our fellow supporters.

What do you like most about coming to Swans matches?
The excitement leading up to the match, seeing everyone in the Red & White, the atmosphere at the game and most of all, seeing our boys running out onto the field and knowing that they will give us their best.

Any final words for the team?
We have a great mix of experience and youth to go forward over the next few years. Just keep in mind the spirit of Kirky’s Bloods and you will succeed!
