The West Coast Eagles unveiled its new brand campaign at the club’s season launch breakfast this morning, presenting the 45-second television commercial to the assembled club corporate partners, members and guests.
Building on last season’s successful ‘We Believe’ campaign, the commercial features West Coast players out in the community alongside on-field football highlights from the 2009 season. Vision from a recent visit to the Pilbara undertaken by West Coast players Scott Selwood, Beau Waters and Dean Cox is also featured.
The 2010 ‘We Believe’ campaign looks to reinforce the club’s firm belief in our playing group, their ability and the direction the team is heading. The campaign also continues to highlight and raise the profile of the club’s commitment to the broader community through the ‘Eagles in the Community’ initiative, proudly supported by principal community partner BHP Billiton Iron Ore.
The new brand campaign will extend to press, radio, adshel, pay TV and free to air as well as the Subiaco Oval big screen. Look out for the TV Commercial airing on Channel Seven, Foxtel and GWN from this Sunday, March 21.
Local band Gyroscope has provided the soundtrack for the campaign for the second year in a row with their newly released track “Some of the places I know” from the forthcoming album “Cohesion”. The club is thrilled to be working with Gyroscope again and proud to be supporting the WA music industry.
Chief executive officer Trevor Nisbett said that this season’s campaign reflects the strong sense of belief shown by West Coast members and partners in the direction the club is heading, as evidenced by our solid renewal rates.
The following partners have also signed new agreements for the 2010 season: BHP Billiton Iron Ore, WA Newspapers, Qantas, Burswood, Australia Post, Retravision, D’Orsogna, Shearers, Veolia, PCEC, GWN and Rosendorff.
“The club’s members and supporters have remained loyal and have shown faith in the club, evidenced by a membership renewal rate of over 98 percent, the highest in the competition,” Nisbett said.
“West Coast members are the most loyal in the league and this is something the club does not take for granted. Club partners and corporate members are all on board again for 2010 with the addition of new sponsor Australian Reliance.
“We have some terrific young players we hope will have a strong impact across the competition, both this year and beyond.”
To support the 2010 ‘We Believe’ campaign, in the next week the club will be launching an interactive online campaign calling all West Coast Eagles members and supporters to pledge their Eagle Allegiance.
