GOLD Coast will announce the selection panel to appoint its next coach in the coming days.
CEO Mark Evans will present his preferred structure for the panel to the club's nine-member board on Thursday night.
There, he will get clearance to formalise talks with the panel's intended members and finalise its make-up.
With Gold Coast's round 23 match against Port Adelaide on Saturday night, the club could make an announcement as soon as Sunday, but more likely early next week.
Evans is still finalising a review into the club's football department that resulted in the departure of former coach Rodney Eade earlier this month.
The futures of a number of staff, including interim coach Dean Solomon, football manager Marcus Ashcroft and list manager Scott Clayton, remain clouded.
Solomon has been given the final three games of the season in charge and Evans has already indicated he would prefer the long-time assistant coach to stay at the Suns in 2018.
Evans said he would not be rushed on either finding a replacement for Eade or finishing up his review.
