If you’re looking for a solution to those cold, wet winter days, the National Sports Museum at the MCG is the perfect place for kids (of all ages) to let off steam.
The Cadbury Holiday Heroes: Let Off Steam! program will run from Monday 4 to Friday 15 July and the kids will be entertained, challenged and inspired by loads of activities from performances to interactive exhibits.
Each weekday at 12:00pm and 1:00pm, a performer from the world renowned Circus Oz acrobatic troupe will take the stage for a dynamic and colourful show that will have kids on the edge of their seats.
Each afternoon at 1:30pm, Australian Football League will make appearances in Game On interactive gallery for the ‘Challenge a Champ’ program. Kids can practise their handball or ball passing skills with their favourite AFL stars and perhaps score an autograph from their sporting heroes.
Kids can also try out a range of other sports in the Game On gallery, including archery, cycling or cricket. Don’t forget to see the realistic 3D holograms of James Hird and Shane Warne telling stories of their sporting highs and lows - a real highlight of the museum experience.
General Manager of the National Sports Museum, Margaret Birtley, said: “The performances, celebrity appearances and interactive games offer a terrific family activity to keep kids entertained and active during the cooler winter holidays.”
So shake off the rain and head to the National Sports Museum, one of the best ways to keep the family warm this winter.
The National Sports Museum is located inside Gate 3 (Olympic Stand) at the MCG. Entry to the Cadbury Holiday Heroes: Let Off Steam! program is included in Museum admission prices.
