CARLTON'S Andrew Walker is facing a one-game suspension forthrowing Port Adelaide forward Angus Monfries into the fence during the finalquarter of the Blues' loss to the Power on Sunday night.
Walker is one of only two players cited by the Match ReviewPanel for incidents during the first part of round one.
The other player cited, Sydney Swans co-captain JarradMcVeigh, can accept a reprimand for forcefully elbowing Greater Western Sydneymidfielder Rhys Palmer in the midriff.
Walker has been charged with engaging in rough conductagainst Monfries, who was not injured in the clash.
The MRP assessed the incident as intentional, low impact andbody contact.
His initial sanction was a two-game ban, but he can have itreduced to one match if he pleads guilty.
Walker's crude attempt to spoil Port Adelaide’s JustinWesthoff during the second quarter of Sunday’s match was also looked at.
According to the MRP, "Walker made contact withWesthoff’s hand and the ball in his spoiling attempt and also makes highcontact in the process.
"It was the view of the panel that Walker’s actionswere a legitimate attempt to spoil the marking attempt and no further actionwas taken."
McVeigh's elbow to Palmer's midriff was assessed as reckless,low impact and body contact.
With an early guilty plea he can accept a reprimand and 45carryover points.
