With Dayne Beams, Callan Ward, Nathan Fyfe, Brent Harvey, Ben McGlynn, Michael Barlow, Dyson Heppell and Steve Johnson already ruled out, not to mention the possible no-shows of Josh Kennedy and Scott Pendlebury the prelim finals have become a battle of depth and bullet dodging.
It is rare that so many players have been ruled out prior to teams being announced, so let’s hope we don’t cop any more curve balls at the selection table because many coaches are already at breaking point. Of course the show must go on, so even if there is a couple of Crispy Creams sitting on your ground, you must focus on making the best moves you can and hope for the best.
