Saints stars of yesteryear will dust off their boots and once again pull on the red, white and black jumper when they play in the AFL9s Legends match tonight, in an effort to raise much needed funds for flood relief.
The fundraiser games will be played during the breaks between NAB Cup matches, with the Saints Legends team to face off against the winner of the Essendon v Brisbane Legends contest.
It’s sure to be entertaining viewing as these former stars put their tight hamstrings on the line and rewind the clock to the glory days!

Other events at tonight’s Round 1 triple header include a Supergoal Challenge at half time of the second NAB Cup match (Brisbane Lions v St Kilda). Essendon’s Matthew Lloyd and the Lions’ Chris Johnson, will take on Troy Schwarze to have a shot at goal to win a $1000 worth of Sherrins for community footy clubs affected by floods.
A group of St Kilda players who are not playing in tonight’s match will also be conducting an autograph signing session between 6 and 7pm, in the ‘Long Room’ at Etihad Stadium. If attending please donate a gold coin, to continue to raise these much needed funds.
