HARRY Taylor has been withdrawn from Geelong's side to face Carlton after reinjuring the same foot that kept him sidelined for six weeks.
He has been replaced by forward-turned-defender Aaron Black.
Taylor left the track early during Thursday's main training session, hobbling alongside club doctor Drew Slimmon.
After injuring the plantar fascia in his left foot in round one against Melbourne, Taylor missed the next six games before returning in round eight.
It is Geelong's 10th late change from as many matches this season - a League-high tally.
Black, who played four games for Geelong last year as a forward after 50 games for North Melbourne, has been shifted to defence this year in the VFL.
With Lachie Henderson fighting a long-term knee injury and the retirements of Andrew Mackie and Tom Lonergan, Black has provided greater depth for coach Chris Scott.
Fellow defender Jack Henry will start on the bench for the Cats with Sam Menegola, Jordan Cunico and Jordan Murdoch – who plays his 100th game.
Liam Jones, who has successfully moved to defence during his maligned career, joins David Cuningham, Pat Kerr and former Cat Darcy Lang on the bench for Carlton.
