Where did Jeremy Cameron find his kicking boots?
Prior to the round 15 clash with St Kilda, Cameron had kicked 37.21 at just under 59 per cent. Not bad, but hardly a super conversion rate for the GWS star. Against the Saints however, he couldn't miss, booting four goals from his first six kicks, and finishing the game with 5.1 in the Giants' 35-point victory at Spotless Stadium. Cameron has missed some sitters this season but he hasn't been alone at the Giants, they're ranked dead last for goalkicking accuracy in the league (46.3 per cent). If they can clean up that part of the game, it will make them extremely dangerous in attack.

Did the Saints' big three forwards get left at Tullamarine airport?
Last week against Essendon, skipper Nick Riewoldt, Josh Bruce and Tim Membrey combined for 11 goals and dragged in 31 marks in the club's 110-point win at Etihad Stadium. Just a week later, the trio had no impact against the Giants. Former Giant Bruce was an absentee all afternoon and was blanketed by the underrated Aidan Corr, while Matt Buntine gave away inches but not much more to Membrey, and forward-turned-defender Adam Tomlinson kept Riewoldt in check in his return from a long-term toe injury. Bruce and Riewoldt sparked up in the third term, but the cameos weren't enough. 

What happened to the Giants in the third quarter?
The home side led by 40 points at one stage in the second term, but failed to emerge from the change rooms after the long break. The Saints booted the only three goals of the quarter and the footy rarely made it past the centre of the ground. St Kilda won the inside 50s 18-8 and the Giants were lucky not to concede more goals than the three the visitors kicked as their run disappeared. When they run and carry the ball at speed, the Giants look almost unbeatable, but when that run is missing, they are a very average side. Luckily it didn't cost them the four points. 

How much did GWS miss Stephen Coniglio?
Plenty has been made about the injuries GWS suffered against Collingwood in round 11 and rightly so, with Shane Mumford, Phil Davis and Joel Patfull going down long term. What was missed among all that doom and gloom was the loss of Coniglio with a shoulder issue. The West Australian missed two games with his AC joint, but returned in style against the Saints. Coniglio had a great battle with Saints ball magnet David Armitage, and finished the day with 26 possessions and a staggering 16 tackles. The Giants need his signature big time. 

How long until we see Jon Patton at AFL level?
'The General' returned to the NEAFL after almost a year out with a second knee reconstruction and got through almost half of footy. Now, his next target is the big stage. Patton looked a little rusty as expected but we should see him back in the seniors in the next month, which could be a huge boost to the Giants' bid for a history-making finals campaign. With former number one draft pick Patton, 2013 All Australian Jeremy Cameron and this year's NAB AFL Rising Star contender Cam McCarthy, the Giants will have three of the game's best young talents inside their forward 50.
