Rookie-listed Crows Brodie Martin and James Moss will make their SANFL league debut on Saturday.

With Adelaide enjoying a bye in the AFL this weekend, it is a great opportunity for supporters to spend Saturday afternoon watching a number of our players competing at State league level.

Martin has been named at half-forward for Sturt, which plays Glenelg at home in a clash of the competition’s top two sides. For the Tigers, James Sellar will line-up as a ruckman/forward and rookie Ed Curnow is playing in the reserves.

The biggest contingent of Crows will be involved in the clash between Norwood and West Adelaide at The Parade. Taylor Walker, who has kicked 14.0 in the past two games, has been named in a forward pocket for Norwood; Kris Massie returns to the midfield; and Aaron Kite is back on a wing.

For West, 2007 draftee Patrick Dangerfield will play his last SANFL game this season before returning to the Geelong Falcons in the TAC Cup and Brad Moran has been named at full back.

Moss will make his league debut for Central District in the game against the Eagles at Woodville Oval. He has been named to start on the bench. Brad Symes, who returned last week after a long absence through injury, gets another chance to press for AFL selection.

The Eagles will be without Trent Hentschel (ankle) and Jarrhan Jacky (knee) but still have rookie Jared Petrenko at half-back and Ken McGregor at centre half back.

In the game at Alberton, Greg Gallman has been named at full back in North’s league side to take on Port Magpies. Tony Armstrong will play in the reserves for the Roosters.

South Adelaide has the bye.

All SANFL league games this week start at 2pm.
