North Melbourne's squad relished a rare opportunity to train at Etihad Stadium on Friday.

While it's traditionally been reserved for match-day only, the club's first-year players took the chance to familiarize themselves with the ground as the more experienced ones put the final touches on their preparation for tomorrow's blockbuster against Collingwood.

Coach Brad Scott was an interested onlooker and spent time discussing the finer points with individual players throughout the session.

This week's inclusions Drew Petrie and Todd Goldstein trained strongly, while Nathan Grima found it hard not to smile at the prospect of making his return against the reigning premiers.

After a short, sharp training run the boys from Aegis Park preceded to the change-rooms with all focus now purely on the bounce of the Sherrin come 2.10pm on Saturday.
