The Crows made a promising start but dropped off to have a goalless second quarter. A 54 point margin seemingly meant the game was over at the last change but a spirited fight back reduced the margin.
Skipper Simon Goodwin was one of Adelaide's best and youngsters Davis and Walker played well.
