Melbourne has named a twenty - nine man squad for this week’s NAB challenge match against Adelaide.
Lynden Dunn will make his first appearance of the year, and youngsters Jake Spencer and Tom McNamara have been added to the squad who to Adelaide.
Jamie Bennell, Colin Sylvia and Brent Moloney have all been rested this week.
Cale Morton is the other major omission, and will be out for eight to ten weeks after injuring his knee during last weekend’s practice match against Essendon.
Forwards Austin Wonaeamirri and Matthew Bate will play an intra club practice match with VFL team Casey Scorpions tonight, after a decision was made not to play them in this weekend’s NAB Challenge game.
Wonaeamirri missed the entire 2009 season with injury, and will be aiming to throw his hat into the ring for selection in Round 1.
