The scoreboard at the MCG on Saturday night read the same teams, the same result and the same score (almost) as the famous finish to last year’s grand final replay.

St Kilda rushed a behind in the 27th minute of the final term in the weekend's win to push Collingwood's final score to 16.12 (108) to 7.9 (51), just one point the difference from last year’s result (the Saints kicked 7.10 (52)).

It was the ninth time in the club’s history that 16.12 (108) was the Magpie end score with eight of them resulting in winning matches.

The 18.12 score was also booted twice in finals including the October 2nd premiership win and the club’s 13-point qualifying final victory over Port Adelaide in 2002.
