THEIR destiny is now out of their own hands, but Brisbane midfielder Nat Exon believes the Lions are good enough to play in the NAB AFL Women's Grand Final.
Following Saturday's 14-point loss against Collingwood, the Lions dropped from second to fifth place entering the final round, one win behind leaders the Western Bulldogs.
Brisbane needs to defeat third-placed Greater Western Sydney in Blacktown on Friday night and then hope Adelaide loses to the Magpies and the Bulldogs beat Melbourne.
Exon said the Lions have moved on from the poor showing against Collingwood and turned their attention to the Giants.
"We've got a quick turnaround and Friday night we have to win and hope things go our way," she said.
"We're just focusing on doing what we can on Friday.
"We've worked hard all pre-season and shown our best footy can compete with the best teams.

"I don't think we've played four (good) quarters yet this year, so if we can put together that four-quarter performance, get everything right, I think we're up there with the best of them."
The Lions trailed by as much as 32 points on Saturday, but three late goals boosted their percentage enough to keep them in the hunt for a top-two finish.
GWS thumped the Lions by 50 points in a pre-season match, and a repeat performance would see them make their first Grand Final.
Exon, who came to the Lions from Carlton as part of the Tayla Harris trade, said she could not put her finger on why they were so flat at the weekend.
"The lead-up to the game was great, training was fine, I don't know really (what happened)," she said.
The 25-year-old has become one of the Lions' personality players, growing a mullet from pre-season that was shaved off on Monday by her teammate Kate McCarthy.
Exon raised in excess of $5,000 for Leukaemia Foundation's Shave for a Cure.
