The AFL today formally received the 2014 Premiership Cup as it launched the 2014 Toyota AFL Finals Series.

AFL Chief Executive Officer Gillon McLachlan took possession of the cup from Cash's -- official suppliers of the Premiership Cup and makers of all the AFL's leading awards and trophies -- and also announced the key football identities who will present the various major awards through September.

Dual Hawthorn premiership coach Alan Joyce, who led the Hawks to the 1988 and 1991 flags, will present the Jock McHale Medal to the winning Grand Final coach.

AFL Hall of Fame inductee and 1996 Norm Smith Medallist Glenn Archer will present the Norm Smith Medal to this year's best on ground in the 2014 Toyota AFL Grand Final.

Former Footscray century goalkicker Simon Beasley, who topped the VFL goalkicking in 1985 with 105 goals, will present the John Coleman Medal to this year’s winner – Sydney’s Lance Franklin.

The Premiership Cup on Grand Final Day will be presented to the winning team by a great of the club, with the presenters to be confirmed on Grand Final day itself.
