ONE down, two to go.
The Traders made some steady progress in the first week of the byes, with all three moving up further in their rankings. Each of the boys are carrying a cashed up 'Warne Chest' this week, with Roy leading the way with $165,000 in his kitty.
For this round, the strategy is simple. Trade out a player who is having their bye for a player who is just coming off theirs.
Having a solid Warne Chest is ideal to upgrade this week’s bye players to premiums such as Gary Ablett (MID, $521,000) and Jack Steven (MID, $561,000). Even though Ablett is owned by 35 per cent of coaches, he is still the third most traded in player.
It appears that many Fantasy coaches are running with this strategy as seven of the top 10 traded in players are coming off their round 13 bye.
Rory Laird (DEF, $478,000) is the most selected player, just above Collingwood’s Tom Phillips (FWD/MID, $141,000). Phillips is the ultimate downgrade target, providing he gets the call up again tonight when teams are announced.
Adelaide and North Melbourne kick off the round tonight so make sure you have those players locked away safely, as they can not be moved once the first ball is bounced.
The partial lockout will stay in effect until the Friday night game between Collingwood and Fremantle starting at 7:50pm AEST from the MCG. From that point, you can put your feet up and relax.
Calvin will settle the big captaincy debate tonight, as Patrick Dangerfield (MID, $634,000) and Tom Rockliff (MID, $538,000) battle for No. 1 honours.

Dangerfield comes up against the Saints at Etihad Stadium where he has scored 143, 187 and 122 this season. The Saints tend to give up quite a lot of Fantasy points so will Calvin make him the No.1 option, or go with the Fantasy Pig Rockliff for the third week straight?
Rockliff is running hot and has averaged 154 in his last three games, and averages 128 recently at the MCG.
There’s no need to flip a coin, Calvin will have you covered when The Traders chat live right here at 6pm AEST as all the teams drop.
