SPEARHEAD Daniel Bradshaw returned to the field with the Sydney Swans Reserves today and played nearly three quarters before being rested for the final term.

Bradshaw has been out of action for three months due to knee and hamstring problems.

He travelled to Canberra to make his comeback with the Swans Reserves, and kicked 1.1 in the Swans loss to Ainslie at Manuka Oval.

Bradshaw played deep at full forward and picked up eight kicks, one handball and took six marks.

The 31-year-old will be monitored to see how he recovers from his first hitout.

Before the match Bradshaw said he was eager to test out the knee to see if there was any chance he could make his way back into the senior side for the finals.

The Reserves lost 11.7 73 to  Ainslie’s 15.15 105.

Matt O’Dwyer picked up 37 disposals, Nathan Gordon had 34  and Campbell Heath kicked three goals and had 33 disposals.

The Swans Reserves will play in the AFL Canberra finals series, starting next weekend.
