WEST Coast star Nic Naitanui has withdrawn from Saturday night's blockbuster clash against Hawthorn for personal reasons.
The Eagles released a statement on Friday night saying they could not reveal the circumstances around Naitanui's withdrawal and asked the fans and media to respect his privacy.
Naitanui will reportedly miss the clash due to a family bereavement.
It is a big blow for the Eagles given the big ruckman's outstanding form this season.
Fellow ruckman Scott Lycett has replaced Naitanui in the starting 22 for his first game since round four, while midfielder Brant Colledge has been added to the emergency list.
