WEST COAST Eagles rookie Ryan Davis has been elevated to the senior list and is set to make his debut this weekend.

Davis will fly to the Gold Coast with the team and is expected to play against North Melbourne on Saturday night at Carrara.

The 18-year-old AFL scholarship holder from Sydney has been flying in the WAFL, despite the patchy form of his club Swan Districts' in recent weeks, and he earned his spot with a significant performance in a losing team last weekend.

In the WAFL scout’s report received by West Coast coaches this week, Davis was praised for his performance.

The following is an excerpt from the WAFL report:

Ryan played the first half at half-back on Dunn and did well on him. Dunn had little impact on the game. Ryan ran off half-back when his team was attacking, he had many possessions and played a link-up role in his team’s forward thrusts. He moved on the ball in the second half and still worked hard in contests and around the ground.

Davis has been elevated to fill the gap left by young forward Mitch Brown, who required a knee reconstruction after injuring the joint in the pre season in Albany, the same game that saw Collingwood's Brad Dick suffer the same ill fortune.
