The North Melbourne Football club can confirm its best and fairest award night; the Syd Barker Medal will still go ahead on Wednesday night.

The club has received numerous enquiries regarding the event at Crown Casino following reports it could be cancelled due to the drawn Grand Final.

The club has contacted Crown management and has been given confirmation that the event would not be affected and will run as planned.

All players will be in attendance and a limited number of tickets are still available.
The medal count is expected to be one of the tightest in recent history with last year’s winner Andrew Swallow among the favourites along with veteran Brady Rawlings, club captain Brent Harvey, defender Michael Firrito and classy midfielder Daniel Wells.

Young ruckman Todd Goldstein is also expected to poll well along with emerging backman Nathan Grima and Rising Star nominee Ryan Bastinac.
