The Club is pleased to confirm that LG Electronics has re-signed as the club’s major sponsor.

Fremantle Chief Executive Officer Cameron Schwab said that as part of a new agreement the club would also be seeking a complementary partner as a joint major sponsor.

“For a number of years, our sponsorship levels have been at capacity and the club is now seeking to create greater opportunities for current and potential commercial partners,” Mr Schwab said.

“LG Electronics has agreed to open up the major sponsorship property to allow an existing or new commercial partner to come on board as a joint major sponsor

“The club has already fielded expressions of interest from existing commercial partners as well as companies seeking to be aligned with the club at this level.”

Mr Schwab said a number of AFL clubs had signed up joint major sponsors.

“It is in the best interests of the Fremantle Football Club to adopt a similar position. This represents a great opportunity for a company to join Fremantle as a joint major sponsor, alongside LG Electronics.

“We are delighted that LG Electronics, which has been the Fremantle Football Club’s major sponsor for the past three years, has paved the way for this to happen. The club looks forward to announcing the joint major sponsor in the near future.”

Fremantle’s successful association with LG Electronics has seen the club post some of the AFL’s highest sponsorship figures.

“We are very pleased with the decision by LG Electronics to continue its association with Fremantle.” Mr Schwab said.

“LG Electronics has aligned its brand to many of the world’s premium sporting events and institutions. It is among the most recognised sponsors in Australian and world sport and Fremantle is proud to wear the LG logo.”

LG Electronics Corporate Marketing Manager Mark Nesci praised Fremantle for the service and support the club had provided for the past three years.

“We have worked very closely with the Fremantle Football Club to ensure that LG Electronics’ highly successful association with the club continues as a joint major sponsor in season 2009,” Mr Nesci said.

“This will allow the Fremantle Football Club to secure another commercial partner to experience the great benefits that we have found comes from a sponsor association with Fremantle, and the AFL.

“LG would like to thank the Fremantle Football Club and its fans for the support they have provided LG, and we look forward to sharing in the club’s future success.”
