It was a close contest from start to finish, with Ulverstone's Waide Jones and Nathan Robertson kicking the first two goals of the game.
After the half-time break Marist raised their intensity by kicking the first goal of the quarter, but despite all the pressure they applied, Ulverstone rose to the occasion and fought out a 7-7-49 to 4-7-31 victory.
The best on ground medal was awarded to Ulverstone High School’s Jacob Campbell who played a super game and scored one goal for his side. Other goal scorers were Waide Jones 2, Nathan Robertson 1, Ryan Wing 1, Michael Paske 1 and Matthew Last 1.
