GIVEN all the current speculation and uncertainty for allparties of the Melbourne Football Club I have, in consultation with my wife Janand family, decided that my coaching obligations with the Melbourne footy clubwill cease at the end of this contract.

I will not be seeking re-appointment.

Over the last 10 years I have enjoyed coaching Melbourne and being partof a great team. By ending the speculation about my coaching position it willallow us all to focus on completing this season as best we can.

I’m supporting the current review, as this is designed tosupport the club in moving forward in their decision-making process for 2008and beyond.

My present focus is to get the team right for Friday nightand I look forward to Friday night and fulfilling my contractual obligations.
