Ed Barlow has today beenelevated from the Sydney Swans rookie list onto the senior list.

A spot on the senior listbecame available earlier this week when Stephen Doyle and Daniel Currie movedonto the long-term injury list, with knee and groin injuries respectively.

This is Barlow’s second yearat the Club, after he was taken as the Swans sixth pick in the 2005 rookiedraft. He was a solid contributor for the Swans Reserves in 2006, enough to warrant asecond year on the rookie list.

A tall utility- he stands at194cm- there is an expectation the 20 year-old can develop into a key-positionplayer.

Cheese, as he is known byteammates because he comes from Bega, is named as one of the three emergenciesto take on Brisbaneat the Gabba on Saturday night.
