The day was a dream come true for forward Barry Hall, in what was his first encounter with his former team. He led the Bulldogs to victory booting five goals which set up the impressive final margin.
In his second appearance this year youngster Brennan Stack impressed with three majors and was named among the best.
Senior Coach Rodney Eade was all smiles after the victory, declaring the win amongst the best he has seen the team execute this year and he praised the even contribution across the team.
For the second week star back man Brian Lake made an appearance up forward where he managed two goals in his 24 possession tally.
The only downside came when midfield favourite Bob Murphy left the field with a suspected knee injury. After he failed to return it was obvious he had sustained reasonable injury to the knee area and this week the Club confirmed that he underwent minor surgery which will see him sidelined alongside skipper Brad Johnson for three weeks.
The last time we meet was Round 13 2009 at the MCG where the Bulldogs were victorious 17.6 (108) v 12.14 (86). North have been on the improve in the last month, winning three out of four and are on the verge of cracking the top eight. And while we haven’t beaten the Roo's at Etihad since 2005, we will be doing our best to keep them and their captain, Brent Harvey at bay.
