I can remember camping outside the Moorabbin Ground in Linton Avenue for over one week in 1966 with my dad in order to get tickets to the 1966 Grand Final. We were number 77 in the queue when the tickets were handed out and were therefore guaranteed tickets. It was an experience to remember with barbeques each night, St Kilda players moving among the supporters and entry into all training sessions for the Grand Final, mum coming down to sit with me during the day while dad went to work and then after work dad coming down with dinner to stay with me over night.

It was an exciting time and one that will remain in my St Kilda memories for ever. We got tickets in the in the top tier of the Northern Grandstand and were on the side of the ground that Barry Breen kicked the winning score from.
