Board Members from both parties, along with Chief Executive’s Ian Collins and Simon Garlick, engaged in meaningful and constructive dialogue throughout the afternoon.
The focus centred on the immediate and long term opportunities that lie ahead.
Western Bulldogs Chief Executive Simon Garlick said that both parties outlined their organisations respective strategies and focus areas, while also discussing some specific initiatives that are currently either being undertaken or are under consideration.
“It was a fantastic opportunity for us to engage with one of our key stakeholders and partners as we look to continue to increase our crowds with an undeniably exciting brand of footy. We are also looking to develop a match day experience for our Members and supporters that is second to none,” Garlick said.
The Club is currently working with the Stadium to create a real home ground feel for all Western Bulldogs fans at Etihad Stadium.
“We are very conscious of providing an exciting experience for our supporters and Etihad Stadium have been fantastic in terms of working with us to ensure we create a geniune Bulldogs atmosphere for all of our fans to enjoy,” Garlick said.
Etihad Stadium Chief Executive Ian Collins agreed that there are exciting times ahead for both parties.
“The Western Bulldogs are clearly now a force in the AFL competition, both on and off the field. We are were pleased to hold such constructive and effective discussions about how we can assist them to continue to advance their already strong brand in a variety of ways” said Collins.
