THE LIONS have lured Brisbane Bullets basketballer Tom Fullarton to football and are on the verge of signing him as a Category B rookie.
Fullarton is 200cm and comes from an Australian football background, making the All Australian team as an under-15 before focusing on basketball.
He was also previously in the Lions Academy.
The Sunshine Coast product, 19, will begin training with Brisbane on June 1 and will do a mini pre-season before being considered to play NEAFL later in the year.
Fullarton's code switch comes after spending a year as a development player with the Bullets in the National Basketball League.
He is yet another key position player to come out of Queensland, following in the footsteps of Harris Andrews, Eric Hipwood and current draftees Connor Ballenden and Jack Payne.
