Female Football Manager

The WAFC Female Football program is at the forefront of the AFL industry. The Female Football Manager is integral to the further enhancement of our female programs for officials, participants, administrators, volunteers and fans programs.

The West Australian Football Commission is seeking a committed and experienced individual to further develop and enhance the current programs to achieve the WAFC strategic vision and objectives for female football. The primary purpose of this position is to coordinate and drive the participation and engagement of females at all levels of football. This role works closely with the AFL and WA Football bodies, as well as other WAFC business units to ensure the most enjoyable experience for all participants involved in this sector of football.

To be considered for this role, you will have relevant experience in strategic planning processes in collaboration with key stakeholders, program development and delivery, as well as the ability to communicate at the operational level. Your ability to build strong relationships with various stakeholders including community club and high performance stakeholders is essential.

To ensure your suitability, you will be able to demonstrate in your Resume and Interview:
• Tertiary qualification such as Education/Human Movement, Sports Science or Sports Management. (E)
• 2-3 years experience in a Football environment. (E)
• Strong business and political acumen to work with a range of stakeholders and achieve WAFC Strategic Vision for Female Football. (E)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. (E)
• Excellent interpersonal, teamwork and relationship building skills. (E)
• Demonstrated ability to manage operations in a timely, organised and professional manner.(E)
• Experience working with volunteers in a sporting environment. (E)
• Ability to work outside of normal working hours (E)
• Be able to demonstrate extensive understanding of WA Football District structure. (HD)
• Experience in working with a range of stakeholder groups (HD)
• Level 1 Coach Accreditation in AFL (HD)
