GEELONG will need to restructure its forward set up for at least the next two weeks with Steve Johnson and Cameron Mooney both accepting their punishments handed down by the match review panel.

The Cats have accepted the three-game sanction given to Johnson for his involvement in a lengthy scuffle with Steven Baker, and the two-game ban to Mooney for a separate striking incident.

Johnson was reported twice for striking Baker, with the first-term incident drawing a one-game penalty that could not be reduced with an early plea owing to his pre-existing demerit points.

He was also nabbed for striking the Saints' midfielder in the second quarter, with the medium impact classification increasing that sanction to two games.

Johnson will now miss the Cats' next three games, but was set for a stint on the sidelines anyway after having a pin inserted in his broken hand on Monday.

The Saints are yet to announce if they plan to challenge the seven-match suspension handed to Baker for four separate charges against Johnson.

The tribunal is expected to sit on Tuesday night if the Saints and Baker decide to contest any aspects of his charge.

Mooney will be out for the Cats' upcoming two games against North Melbourne and Hawthorn after accepting his penalty for striking Jason Blake at the start of the first quarter.

A previous poor record meant Mooney's punishment could not be reduced from two games.

His existing poor record of two matches suspended within the last three years and a carry-over tally of 68.75 points from the last 12 months increased the penalty to three games.

With the guilty acceptance, the sanction remains at two games with 54.06 points to carry for the next year.
