Each week, the award aims to highlight the three most brave and selfless on-field moments. At the end of the home and away season, the AFL All Australian Selection Committee will select six finalists, with public voting online for the overall winner.
The 2009 AFL Army Award winner will receive a travel voucher valued at $10,000, a trophy and an Army Experience. The award will be officially presented at the 2009 All Australian dinner.
The 2008 AFL Army Award winner was Richmond’s Brett Deledio, who secured the award for his outstanding play against St Kilda in round seven last year.
