With the AFL's split round upon us and Collingwood having a weekend off before travelling to Sydney to take on the Swans, the players and coaches are spending four days in Queensland.

On Wednesday, as part of the club's three-day stint in Mackay, the players conducted a super clinic and then held a training session in front of a loud and enthusiastic crowd of locals at Harrup Park.

The event was a wonderful success, with Collingwood's presence giving a huge boost to a region where AFL is fast developing.

First it was the super clinic with hundreds of local school children...

Then the boys hit the track for training...

Then it was time for a barbecue dinner...

Followed by an autograph signing session for the adoring fans...
