Sydney Swans coach Paul Roos speaks glowingly of Dan Hannebery  as the Club announces Dan signing for a further three years:

“Dan’s had an exceptional season. Last year he played as a kid going to school, so this is really his first full time year at an AFL Club.

His best games have been very good; on the weekend he was probably in the top three players on the ground. He’s had some very good games and he hasn’t had any real poor games and that’s probably the biggest testament to him.

He’s been very consistent in his first year, so to get him signed for three years is a key to the Club.

He’s showed that he’s going to be an exceptional player. He loves the club, he learns, he’s got a hunger for the game and he trains really hard, so he’s the sort of kid you really want around the Club for 10-12 years.

He’s an exceptional, young kid.”
