PREMIERSHIP player Jonathan Simpkin's career at Hawthorn is over after he was delisted following three years in brown and gold.
The 28-year-old midfielder made 33 appearances for the Hawks – highlighted by the 2013 Grand Final triumph, when he started as the sub in the 15-point win over Fremantle.
Simpkin dominated the VFL this season and won Box Hill's best and fairest award, but couldn't get a look-in at senior level – apart from one appearance starting as the sub in the Hawks' round seven belting of Melbourne.
But the AFL journeyman leaves Waverley with a premiership medallion after being part of the club's golden era of success.
"Jonathan has achieved a great deal in his three years at the Hawks and departs as a 2013 AFL premiership player, 2013 VFL premiership player, 2013 Norm Goss Medallist (best on ground in the VFL Grand Final) and 2015 Col Austen Trophy winner, list manager Graham Wright said.
"We thank him for his excellent contribution and wish him well in the future."

Simpkin started his career at the Sydney Swans as a rookie in 2006 but didn't play a game in two seasons with the club.
He returned to Colac and rebuilt his career playing in Geelong's VFL team, leading to a second shot at the elite level with the Cats.
The hard-running onballer finally made his senior debut in 2012, however he was chopped by the Cats after just four senior games.
Recognising his talent, the Hawks swooped on the delisted free agent and a year later Simpkin stood atop the premiership dais on Grand Final day.
The Hawks have now waved goodbye to Matt Suckling (Western Bulldogs), Jed Anderson (North Melbourne), rookies Jared Haridsty and Sam Grimley, plus retirees David Hale and Brian Lake this off-season.
Promising onballer Alex Woodward, recovering from his third knee reconstruction, has been delisted with the intention of being recruited again via the rookie draft.
Former Demons big man Jack Fitzpatrick join the club during the trade period, while talented Irish youngster Conor Glass has been added as a Category B rookie.
New Zealand key defensive prospect Kurt Heatherley has been upgraded to the rookie list, while the Hawks are looking forward to their strongest draft hand in a decade when they take picks 15 and 18 to Adelaide next month.
