The Queensland Demons are a band of very loyal, passionate supporters of the best and oldest sporting club in the world, and started from scratch in 1997.
Many members have been with us since that first year and have become good friends. Many have joined us along the way and are still here.
When it comes to Gabba Game Day, all are out in force to support the team. Our functions at the German Club have become well known and frequented by interstate supporters each year.
We are very fortunate to have the current agreement still in force and get a visit each year but this year we have been spoiled with Community Camp, Round Three at Carrara, and our traditional Gabba Game on 8 July.
Community Camp was a great success, and the boys were fabulous ambassadors for the game. They were polite, friendly and happy to indulge the supporters with autographs, photos etc. I am very proud to be a Demon fan, and to know that these players represent my Club. They were enthusiastic about the Carrara ground, and look forward to competing here next month.
Membership
Queensland MFC members get free membership to the group as part of their Country/Interstate Membership. I have a list and am emailing each of you as fast as I can, however there are many to contact. If you have yet to receive my mail, but would like to join up for free, please email me at qlddemons@iprimus.com.au and I will forward you the necessary form to become a Queensland Demon. As we don’t get membership fees for these people, we rely on our functions at the games to generate our income for the year. We also use some of these funds to sponsor Demonland/Demonology’s player of the year. Last year it was Brad Miller, and this was particularly appropriate for us as he is originally from Queensland. If you are a member but would like to donate funds to our group, please feel free.
Non-MFC members can join the group also however we do have to charge you a fee to help with postage, printing etc.

QLD DEMONS MATCH DAY FUNCTIONS - SATURDAY JULY 8
We are moving! Due to various circumstances, we are now holding our match day functions at the Pineapple Hotel in Main St Kangaroo Point. We have been lured there with the promise of a better deal for the group and ultimately better facilities. We will be holding a pre-match function upstairs at the hotel and the after match in the restaurant area to cater for the bigger crowd we will get with a win over the Lions. Pre- match will be a booked affair and finger food will be on the menu. We need numbers for catering so please keep this in mind and book early.

After Match function is included in the above costs for those attending the pre-match festivities.

Where can I watch the games with supporters?
In Brisbane you can go along to the Pineapple Hotel, an AFL friendly hotel - also happens to be fairly “anti” Brisbane Lions - and meet up with fellow Demon fans. We also have Mt Gravatt AFC ( Brad Miller’s previous club) who are happy to host Demon fans in Brisbane.

For those on Sunshine Coast, Bribie Island and far north, please let me know where you watch the game, what pubs/clubs show MFC - and I will advertise it on this site for supporters to see. The more the merrier.
I am working on SEQ Saints, Kangaroos Supp Group and others to organise to watch games together to get a bit of rivalry back into our viewing. This does depend largely on the TV networks here and when they televise our games, but hopefully good performances by the team will mean more TV coverage for us.
