Richmond coach Damien Hardwick has urged Tiger fans to create a hostile environment for the travelling West Coast Eagles at the MCG on Sunday for the Round 12 battle.

The Tigers are coming off a month of solid performances, including a win against Port Adelaide and a narrow three-point loss to Hawthorn.

They play 14th-placed West Coast at 1.10pm on Sunday, in what will be the Club’s last home game until the Round 14 clash with Sydney on July 4.

“We would love to see a huge turn-out of Richmond fans at the G on Sunday, to give the boys really strong backing,” Hardwick said.

“The West Coast supporters are renowned for creating a cauldron-like atmosphere at Subiaco, so we want to recreate the same sort of thing at the MCG.

“We’ve got the most passionate fans in the league, and we want to make it as uncomfortable for the Eagles as we can by filling the stands on Sunday with Yellow and Black.”

Richmond has already confirmed that Ben Griffiths will return to the side after recovering from a corked thigh, and Daniel Connors will make his long-awaited comeback after a club-imposed eight-week suspension.

The full Tiger squad will be announced at 5pm on Thursday, with the trimmed 22-man team confirmed at 5pm on Friday.
