ADELAIDE has re-signed experienced defender Kyle Cheney on a one-year deal for next season, along with rookie-listed duo Ben Jarman and Paul Hunter.
Cheney, 28, has played 77 games, but was unable to add to that tally this year as he struggled with injury in the first half of the season.
Once he returned, Cheney was unable to force his way back into the side as Jake Kelly cemented his spot in the Crows' backline.
Cheney joined the Crows during the 2015 NAB AFL Trade Period after starting his career at Melbourne and Hawthorn.
The Crows have committed to retaining Jarman and Hunter on their rookie list.
Jarman, the son of Crows great Darren, played all 18 games in the SANFL this year and finished fifth in the club's state league best and fairest.
Hunter, 24, will spend his third season on the club's rookie list, providing ruck depth behind Sam Jacobs and Reilly O'Brien.
Crows general manager list management and strategy Justin Reid said all three players were looking to build on the work they had done this year.
"Kyle has shown across his career that he has what it takes to compete at the highest level," Reid said.
"While this year didn’t go to plan for him, he is excited for what next season holds.
"Ben and Paul impressed in the SANFL this year, with Ben improving his consistency at the level and Paul continuing to develop nicely as a ruckman/forward.
"We are thrilled all three have re-committed to the club for 2018."
Cheney's re-signing ensures the Crows have 36 players on their senior list.
They added Carlton star Bryce Gibbs and North Melbourne veteran Sam Gibson during the Trade Period, and upgraded former Category B rookies Hugh Greenwood and Alex Keath on Tuesday.
Jake Lever (Melbourne), Charlie Cameron (Brisbane Lions) and Harrison Wigg (Gold Coast) left the club during the Trade Period.
Veteran midfielder Scott Thompson has retired, while Dean Gore, Troy Menzel, Cam Ellis-Yolmen and mature-age rookie Jono Beech were delisted.
The Crows have committed to selecting Ellis-Yolmen in the Rookie Draft if he is available, along with father/son prospect Jackson Edwards.
