The West Coast Eagles face more tribunal worries this week and yet again it is an underdone player that has put himself in jeopardy.Just two weeks after star big man Michael Gardiner copped a two-match suspension just after he had returned from injury and was in need of match fitness, now goalsneak Ashley Sampi could find himself in a similar predicament.Sampi, in only his second game back following a six-match absence with a foot injury, was reported during Saturday's win over Hawthorn at Subiaco for rough conduct against Jordan Lewis.Video footage of the incident showed Sampi appearing to drop his knees onto Lewis on the ground after the pair had been involved in a scuffle. The Eagles will be desperate not to lose Sampi, who desperately needs game time, with the finals now just a month away. However the Eagles, who secured a top two finish on the weekend by beating the Hawks to record their 16th win from 18 games leaving them five games clear of third place with just four games to play, will at least regain Gardiner for this week's MCG clash against the Western Bulldogs following the completion of his suspension. While Sampi is the only player to be reported so far in round 18, the AFL's match review panel is expected to closely scrutinise several clashes from Friday night's Essendon-Geelong game.Essendon wingman Mark McVeigh seems certain to face a striking charge after being captured on video throwing a punch during a melee while teammate Dean Solomon could also face a striking charge for an incident on Geelong's Gary Ablett. And Dean Rioli could also be in trouble over a tackle that on video replay looked close to what is commonly termed 'a spear tackle' in the National Rugby League competition.St Kilda's Brett Voss is also likely to come under scrutiny over an accidental clash with field umpire Adam Davis on Saturday in which the pair collided as Voss attempted to tackle Melbourne's Brad Green.
