Richmond fans can enjoy the build-up to the Eureka Game on Sunday with a range of festivities at Punt Road before the match.

To celebrate the inaugural Eureka Game, interactive stalls from St John’s Ambulance, the Fire Brigade and the Navy will highlight the entertainment which includes free rides, face painting and a footy skills clinic.

The clubs will provide a free Aussie barbecue for the fans and solo artist Sean Marchetti will be performing for the crowd.

Both teams will have players who are not competing in the match at Punt Road for autographs and photos at a selected time.

The festivities start at Punt Road at 2pm and wrap up around 4pm to allow fans time to get to the ground for the match.

A highlight of the match celebrations will be 100 workers in uniform representing their profession marching on-field and creating a guard of honour for the two teams to enter the arena.

Richmond and North Melbourne joined forces to create the Eureka Game in what the clubs hope will become an icon game of the AFL.

The Eureka Game intends to recognise, celebrate and educate football followers about the important role workers have played in shaping and advancing Australian life over many generations since the events of Eureka.

AFL legend Kevin Sheedy worked closely with the clubs to develop the concept of this fantastic initiative.
