West Coast v Gold Coast, HBF Arena

WITH 11 of the Suns' best 22 on the sidelines, many were expecting a one-sided affair, but this wasn't to be. The Suns dominated the game until West Coast finished like a steam train and won the game in the final seconds.

After just scoring 37 points in his first NAB Challenge game, the eyes of the Fantasy community were firmly locked on Elliot Yeo (DEF/MID, $436,000), and sadly he disappointed once again. Despite playing in the midfield for nearly the entire match, he managed just 45 in 84 per cent game time and has now been delisted by many coaches.

Mark LeCras (FWD, $464,000) slotted two goals to lead all scorers with 117 and was closely followed by Aaron Hall with 107. Hall attended a game-high 16 centre bounces and clocked up 15 tackles, however his role within the team will be very interesting when Ablett and Prestia return.

Nic Naitanui (RUC, $454,000) impressed with 85 as did everyone's favourite benchman Daniel Currie (RUC, $125,000) with 68 points from 21 hit outs.

One of the stand-out performers though was Trent McKenzie (DEF, $287,000), who caught my eye with his 105 points. He was phenomenal with 25 disposals and must now be considered as a cheap backline option. He averaged 81 in 2013 and certainly ticked all the right boxes on Thursday night.

Sydney Swans v Greater Western Sydney, Drummoyne Oval

With both sides fielding strong line-ups, it was the Giants who got the job done on Friday night.

Despite scoring his second 100 in the NAB Challenge, Luke Parker (MID, $533,000) is still only owned by 7 per cent of coaches. He is having a smashing pre-season and is shaping up as a unique option in the midfield.

If Callum Mills (MID, $227,000) isn't in your Classic team, get him in. Mills is a jet and scored a nice 63 to be the Swan's sixth-highest scorer, backing up his score of 81 from the first week of the NAB Challenge.

Tom Mitchell (MID, $593,000) and Daniel Hannebery (MID, $613,000) were up to their usual tricks and found plenty of the ball as they posted 90 and 70 respectively.

Lance Franklin (FWD, $452,000) found the going rather tough for his 49 points, and for the Giants Heath Shaw (DEF, $532,000) dominated for his score of 99 from a team high 29 touches.

So far this year, premium defenders haven't shown us what they are truly capable of and after averaging 96 last year, Shaw looks set to be one of the safest and highest scoring defenders in Fantasy.

Steve Johnson (FWD, $479,000) scored an impressive 85 for his new team and Toby Greene (FWD/MID, $473,000) showed why 15 per cent of Fantasy coaches have already locked him into their forward lines with a great score of 95. A role change to Greene saw his average drop 17 points to 86 last year. However, he floated through the midfield for his 20 disposals and even claimed eight tackles.

Essendon v Geelong, Deakin Reserve

In what was nearly a 100-point flogging, maybe we saw a small insight in to how good Geelong will be this year and how much Essendon might struggle.

Nick Kommer (FWD, $125,000) tallied up a team high 64 points with seven marks and has now cemented himself on the bench for all serious Fantasy teams.

His teammate and top-up player Matt Dea (DEF, $170,000) also impressed with 12 disposals for his 54 and former Hawk Jonathan Simpkin (FWD/MID, $226,000) had 51. These three cheap options we're the top scorers for the depleted Bombers and despite not setting the world on fire, they are too cheap to ignore.

Having scored just 35 in his first NAB Challenge game, Mark Blicavs (RUC/MID, $539,000) struggled again with 58. He's owned by 14 per cent of coaches who were hoping he'd increase on his average of 97 this year, but as it sits right now, it's unlikely to happen.

In a game that saw Geelong dominate from start to finish, Patrick Dangerfield (MID, $589,000) top scored for the Cats for his second straight NAB Challenge game with 98 in just 66 per cent game time.

He hasn't put a foot wrong since joining the Cats and looks set to back up his best Fantasy season ever that saw him average 106 last year.

North Melbourne v Collingwood, Robertson Oval

Taylor Adams (MID, $560,000) led all scorers with a neat 100 points and looks set for a huge year. He is in my Fantasy Classic team and after this performance, he has cemented his spot.

Levi Greenwood (MID, $454,000) averaged 102 at the Kangaroos before joining the Pies in 2015. He scored 98 and is guy to certainly bump up your Elite draft order after he only averaged 83 last year.

The story of the match though was Daniel Wells (FWD/MID, $293,000). He has been on the radar for many coaches all pre-season and finally we were reminded of what he was capable of achieving. He scored 78 points from 17 disposals and looked fit and ready to go come round one. He is now a must-have forward in your line-up, and is capable of averaging 80-plus, a feat he has already reached five times in his career.

Western Bulldogs v Melbourne, Highgate Recreational Reserve

In his first hit out for the year, Tom Liberatore (MID, $443,000) put to rest any doubt about his fitness with a game high 10 tackles for 79 points. Prior to his 2015 injury, he averaged 99 and is now a justifiable selection that 39 per cent of coaches have already locked in.

Lin Jong (FWD/MID, $351,000) and Jack Watts (FWD/MID, $377,000) led all scorers for the match with 97 and Max Gawn (RUC, $509,000) impressed again with 86 from a remarkable 46 hit-outs. He averaged 92 points last year and is destined to push the triple-figure mark this year.

Will Minson (RUC, $384,000) racked up a quick fire 63 in just over half a game and looks comfortable as the No. 1 ruckman at the kennel.

At the cheaper end of the scale, Josh Dunkley (MID, $162,000) scored 78 from his 16 touches and bargain defender Kieran Collins (DEF, $136,000) managed 46 to justify his position on your bench in your backline.
