FIRST-round draft pick Brayden Fiorini has re-signed with Gold Coast until the end of 2018. 

Fiorini's one-year extension adds to the re-signings of Adam Saad and Sean Lemmens earlier in the week. 

Taken with the 20th overall pick at last year's NAB AFL Draft, Fiorini is a classy outside midfielder who has been dogged by a knee injury in his first season and unable to crack the senior team. 

The 18-year-old is recovering from a ruptured lateral collateral ligament injury but said he had enjoyed every moment of his transition to the AFL.

"To have the opportunity to realise my AFL dream in Queensland has been a dream come true," Fiorini said. 

"The playing group, coaching staff and welfare team welcomed me with open arms from the first day I arrived, and have made every effort to assist with my transition to the Gold Coast.

"I want to be part of this club’s future, and am looking forward to every challenge and opportunity that is presented to me."

List and strategy manager Scott Clayton said Fiorini’s re-signing was a massive boost for the club.
