Jared Brennan and Albert Proud have been added to the Lions' senior side for their Round 4 clash against the Western Bulldogs, replacing suspended duo Mitch Clark and Ashley McGrath.

Brennan - who began the 2010 season in white-hot form - returns after serving a one match suspension while Proud has been recalled for his first senior match of the year after impressive showings with the Lions Reserves.

Despite playing predominantly as a midfielder so far this season, Brennan has been named on the interchange bench and will likely be used as an occasional ruckman in the absence of Clark.

The Lions have also named Vice-Captain Simon Black in the team despite concerns surrounding his calf. The Brownlow Medallist has had a lighter week on the training track and is expected to face the Bulldogs.
