The second player selected in last year’s NAB AFL Draft is the only player missing, so far, from Melbourne’s 19-point win over Essendon at the MCG last round.
The Demons have included four players on their extended interchange - Cale Morton, Matthew Warnock, Rohan Bail and Addam Maric.
At least one of Morton, Warnock, Bail or Maric will replace the injured South Australian.
Joel Macdonald, Kyle Cheney and Paul Johnson have also been named on the seven-man bench, which will be trimmed back to four on Friday night.
Melbourne skipper James McDonald, who was rated a 50/50 chance to play this weekend, has not been named.
The 33-year-old has been battling a hamstring injury and has not played since round 11 against Carlton.
Warnock, Bail and Morton have been in good form in the VFL and were all highly rated by Casey coach Brad Gotch last round against Frankston.
Morton, who missed much of the first half of the season with a knee injury, has played the past two matches for the Scorpions.
Warnock has also been out of the side since round 13.
Bail will be aiming to play his first match since round four, after an interrupted season with quadriceps and hand injuries.
Melbourne will be aiming for its second consecutive win and sixth victory in 2010.
The Demons will also be looking to end a six-year losing streak at Subiaco Oval, having not won there since defeating Fremantle in round 11, 2004.
