SUMMARY
Geelong has been all but invincible at home in recent years, but Port Adelaide's resurgence and the Cats' wavering form means this shapes as a danger game for one of the flag favourites. Chris Scott's men slumped to their fourth loss of the season when North Melbourne beat them last weekend, while the Power scored a dramatic come-from-behind win over Adelaide. Adding to the intrigue is Port coach Ken Hinkley's strong connection to Geelong. Hinkley played 121 games for the Cats between 1989 and '95, then served as an assistant coach under Mark Thompson between 2004 and 2009.

THE SIX POINTS
1. Tom Hawkins starred with six goals when Geelong thrashed Port Adelaide in round nine. But the big Cat has been struggling badly of late. In his past six matches, he has kicked only 12 goals.

2. The Cats have dominated the Power recently, winning the last eight contests, a streak that began with the 2007 Grand Final.

3. This will be the 26th clash between the sides. Geelong holds a clear advantage, winning 16 games to eight, with one draw. At Simonds Stadium, the sides have met 12 times, with the Cats winning 10 of those matches.

4. Geelong is ranked second for points scored this season, averaging 109 per game. Port Adelaide is 10th, with 93 per game.

5. One area in which the Cats have struggled this season is clearances. They are ranked 17th for clearances, while the Power are 10th.

6. Port Adelaide youngster Chad Wingard has rocketed into the top 100 in the Official AFL Player Ratings. The 20-year-old had 24 disposals and kicked five goals against Adelaide last weekend, and the effort equated to 30.2 player ratings points, the highest score of round 19. Having started the season in 409th position on the player ratings ladder, Wingard's latest heroics have seen him climb to 87th place.
