AFL Members are advised that AFL World will relocate to the National Sports Museum, currently under construction at the MCG and is scheduled to open in March 2008. 

Located within the area profiling the history and evolution of Australian Football and incorporating the Australian Football Hall of Fame, some of the existing interactive elements of AFL World will be featured, allowing visitors to personally experience Australia’s only indigenous game.

The National Sports Museum will provide a national focal point for the values and achievements of Australian sportsmen and women. This environment, located at one of the world’s leading sporting grounds, will provide an inspirational and engaging atmosphere for all Australian’s, together with International visitors wishing to embrace our strong sporting culture firsthand.

AFL World will close at its existing location within the QV precinct on Sunday 21st October, 2007.  All elements of AFL World including the Training Ground; functions and events with Peter Rowland; children’s birthday parties; the September/October school holiday programme and Ticketmaster will operate as normal. It is intended to keep The AFL Store operating within QV.

AFL World will continue to accept valid admission passes and honour current promotional offers (including AFL Members entitlements*) up until the 21st October, 2007.  Any admission passes and promotional offers with validity beyond the closure date will no longer be able to be utilised and cannot be redeemed for refund or exchanged.

* AFL Full Members are entitled to unlimited entry to the venue up until October 21 and AFL Silver Members have 2 entries to utilise throughout the 2007 Toyota AFL Premiership Season.
