THE AFL will seek assurances from the MCG following Ticketek's latest meltdown.
Sales to competing club members for finals at the MCG and SCG went back on sale on Wednesday at staggered times.
As frustrated fans nervously waited for the chance to purchase tickets, the AFL held emergency talks with Ticketek and the venues, and will seek further accountability after the finals.

"All we want is an assurance that the system will work and we don't think that's too much to ask, they're a ticketing company, they should be able to sell tickets," AFL clubs and operations general manager Travis Auld said.
"Yes, it's a high volume period, but that's the game we're in," he said.
It followed Tuesday's debacle where the entire sales process had to be shut down, causing high levels of tension and anxiety among fans.
"I can promise you that this won't be forgotten," Auld said.
"I can promise you that as soon as the finals are completed that we will be having some conversations with the MCG to make sure that we're 100 per cent confident this doesn't occur again."
Auld confirmed the AFL didn't have a seat at the table when the MCG recently renewed its partnership with Ticketek despite a history of problems.
He said the sale of tickets to Perth's Optus Stadium through Ticketmaster went off without a hitch.
Since sales for the two MCG finals resumed, 40,000 tickets have been sold to Richmond and Hawthorn club members, while 25,000 tickets have been sold to Melbourne and Geelong members after sales resumed for that game later on Wednesday.
Tickets for AFL members go on sale on Thursday at 9am AEST for both MCG games, while general public sales will open at staggered times in the afternoon.
"It's going much better, that doesn't excuse what occurred yesterday," Auld said.
"What occurred yesterday is not acceptable, it was a really disappointing day for our supporters and they deserve better."
The AFL is predicting sell-outs at both the all-Sydney elimination final at the SCG and the Eagles-Magpies qualifying final at Perth's new Optus Stadium.
