THEY call him a 'tackling machine' and finally Will Snelling ($207,000) will make his debut for the Bombers on Friday night. After averaging 128 in the SANFL this year, the newly recruited 21-year-old will look to make an immediate impact against the Crows at Adelaide Oval.
Sydney’s Hayden McLean ($170,000) and St Kilda’s Doulton Langlands (FWD/MID, $170,000) will also debut for their respective clubs. Langlands scored 95 last week for Sandringham and has averaged 63 across the season so far.

As expected, Stephen Coniglio and Nic Naitanui were named out after their injuries from the weekend. However, it was Nat Fyfe that was the biggest surprise on the selection table as he will miss this week’s encounter with the Swans with an infected elbow. Fyfe sits in 16 per cent of Fantasy teams. His coaches will now be looking to move the Fremantle superstar on to another premium midfielder.
For the first time since round seven, Adam Treloar coaches will be more nervous than ever, with the inclusion of Taylor Adams. Over the last two years, Adams has impacted the scoring of the Collingwood midfielder, reducing his output by 21 points per game.
But will this trend continue?

Rowan Marshall (FWD/RUC, $725,000)
The Saints' big man is in ripping form with a five-game average of 113. He has career high numbers on the cards this week in a dream match-up with the Bulldogs.
Marc Murphy (MID, $598,000)
The Blues veteran has embraced the new playing style and his scoring reflects that with a three-game average of 109. He has a breakeven of just 54.
Lachie Whitfield (DEF/MID, $779,000)
As he has shown in the past, Whitfield can return from injury layoffs without missing a beat. He had 117 and has a good match-up against the Pies this weekend.

Brayden Fiorini (MID, $688,000)
After an awesome start to the season it’s proving pretty difficult to get a kick up north. He hasn’t reached triple figures in his last four games and needs to be upgraded.
Stephen Coniglio (MID, $726,000)
The Giants star did his best to push through a knee complaint for his owners but unfortunately succumbed to the injury before registering a score.
Ryan Burton (DEF, $523,000)
The running half-back is having a great year for his new club but can’t catch a break with hamstring issues. He went down again on the weekend and must be moved on.
Calvin’s Captains
No.1 – Brodie Grundy v GWS @ Giants Stadium
In a tough week for captain selection, Grundy seems to be one of the safest and best picks. He’s up against the duo of Mumford and Simpson and although they will share the role, you’d think that Grundy should still be too good. As we know, Grundy is capable of hitting the 150 mark, which he has basically achieved five times already this season. When he does this, it’s usually against a second tier or untried ruckman.
No.2 – Rowan Marshall v Western Bulldogs @ Marvel Stadium
Who would have thought, but Marshall is a safe 115+ this week. He hasn’t scored under 107 in his last six games and meets Tim English, the easiest ruckman to score against in the game. Over the season, ruckman score 16 points more than their average against English which puts Marshall at 101+16, a score of 117. Or if you base this off his average over the last five weeks, then pencil him in for 113+16 and a nice 129.
No.3 – Andrew Gaff v Melbourne @ Traeger Park
He has only scored 1x120+ score in his last five games and 0x120+ score in his last five games away from home, but he’s up against the Demons and that’s a winning ticket. Last week, Dunkley (189), Hunter (154) and Macrae (110) all scored with ease and so should Gaff, if you can trust him away from home.
No.4 – Josh Dunkley v St Kilda @ Marvel Stadium
Will he be tagged? Forget his Fantasy numbers for a second and think about what he did last week that might catch the attention of Jack Steele. Dunkley had game-high clearances, game-high contested possessions and game-high possessions. He had a game-high tackles and one goal assist and two goals. St Kilda has already said that he may be targeted this week and Jack Steele will tag someone like he has been. Dunkley’s form is super-elite though and surely he can’t be stopped, even if the Saints try.
No.5 – Dayne Zorko v North Melbourne @ the Gabba
143, 109 and 125 are Zorko’s most recent efforts against the Roos. He has been great averaging 122 in his last three games and meets a team that saw Merrett score 114 on them last week and the week before, St Kilda’s Steele (132), Billings (128) and Dunstan (118) all had some of their best scores for the year.
